Will the draft be a one night type thing where we all go online and make it happen fast? In previous leagues ive noticed it works better to try to do it in a few nights like that instead of a 24 hour clock. I also understand people live in different time zones. What's everyones thoughts?

If we can get everyone together at the same time I'd go for that. We'll see how the slow draft goes and play it by ear.

we are doing the 12 hour thing with the entry draft. It is working pretty well except for we have two openings and we are now waiting for those two slots to fill. But we got through the first 8 picks in 24 hours i think. Once guys are in tune and hanging around, you can go pretty fast until you hit one that is out of town or out on the town.
Then it picks up again. I think with the excitement of the new league and new GM's, everyone will sort of hang around and pick quickly. But I do like being able to think about the picks a little. We have all summer and no hockey for a long, long time. This will keep people interested.
I'm for giving the slow pick a chance. It's really tough to get 16 people together at one time for long draft.

I am for the slow picks as well. If we get to the point where we are half way through and it is getting way too slow then we could finish off with more of a live draft at the end. But i think the first few rounds for sure will go fairly quick.
